Polariks wins LEF competition

Start-up Polariks, which uses aerospace technology for better wine cultivation, has won the final of the LEF competition for starting entrepreneurs in the Rijnland region.

Earlier this year, Polariks received a loan from ELF Pre-seed to further develop a precision agriculture analysis method based on Hyperspectral Imaging.

This technology is ideal for grape farmers who currently have to inspect each grape to determine whether it is the time to harvest. With this technology it will become possible to do the inspection with a camera on a drone, which in turn allows for better harvest planning, early detection of diseases and reduces of costs.
